The English countryside has always influenced how we think about outerwear, especially the Cotswolds. Rolling fields, old stone barns, a mix of rain, mud and green everywhere you turn. It’s the kind of place where a proper waxed jacket just makes sense, whether you’re watching someone wrestle with a gate on Clarkson’s Farm or walking the footpaths yourself. This jacket came out of that mood.
We cut it in a British Millerain® Woodland DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material), one of our favorite military patterns - subtle, earthy, designed for damp, mossy woods. Waxed cotton gives it that lived-in character that only gets better as the material sees more weather. It’s the kind of jacket that feels right on a gentleman’s farm, but also looks right grabbing coffee in Tribeca. That sweet spot is always what we're chasing.
And there are a few details we're especially proud of: a double vent in the back with zip closures on each side - one of those features you don’t see often and wonder why. It’s fully lined in Portuguese cotton flannel, giving it that warm, familiar feel the moment you put it on. A stowable hood for when the weather turns and side-entry pockets lined in that same cozy Portuguese flannel. Small things, but they make the jacket a joy to wear.
